Wow Hunter help PLZZZ!?

Hi hi! Okay, well I have a level 5 Blood elf hunter that I just started yesterday. My brother and I are doing a competition to see who can get to the highest level by the 24th of July. I did hunter cuz I knew they go up the fastest. I was just wondering what the second pet is (I'm a blood elf, I have a Dragonhawk now), what level you need to be to tame them, and how do you tame an animal??? Thanks guys, really appreciate it!
