Can I Sue my school counselor?

About 7 years ago, i confided in my school counselor about something private in my life and she took it upon herself to tell my parents. Shes not friends with my parents she was strictly a school counselor, but because she thought i was very young she said "as a parent myself i can not allow you to not inform your parents" (it was sex). I told another counselor and ive told other people about it and all said that she was wrong for my counselor to have said anything. After telling my parents i went throught the worst months of my life. Can i sue her?
